The EMS Councils are now able to print continuing education status reports for all providers. Pre-hospital practitioners are also able to print their own status reports from the EMSO website https://ems.health.state.pa.us/emsportal/ -  Emergency Medical Services Registry System (EMSRS)).  ALS Providers may select current year or previous year reports.
 If you have never been to this website you will be required to register - if you do not remeber your login name - you  must contact the DOH office for assistance.  Please do not create a duplicate login name
 
 
 
The "Continuing Education/Certification Info" link a will allow individuals to  search for upcoming registered class, view the approved course list; and Con-ed Sponsors will go here to register classes and submit new courses, and maintain their Sponsor accreditation information.

EXPIRED CERTIFICATION??

If your EMS certification has expired and you wish to renew it, you have a couple of options:

A. Take and pass a State Practical and Written Exam. You will be required to provide proof of expired certification, a current Healthcare Provider level CPR card, and a photo ID at the time of your test.

    **  OR  **

B. You may complete continuing education credits (First responders will need a minimum of 16 credits with at least 8 in the medical/trauma category; and EMT's will need a minimum of 24 con-ed credits with at least 12 in the medical/trauma category) AND fill out the reinstatement application and submit it to your home Regional EMS Council.  The two (2) forms needed for reinstatement are below:

1. Reinstatement Application - please include ALL of the required attachments listed on this application. The "Criminal History Reporting Form" is below.  When submitting copies of certification cards, please make a copy of both sides of card.

2. Criminal History Reporting Form - this is a two-page document and must be signed on the second page.

Learning Management: To sign up for the State's online continuing education application (a.k.a.: LMS, Centrelearn) please go to the following website to register:  Click here - A username and password will be forwarded to you via e-mail within 5 business days. Any credits completed on this website are automatically posted to your record. You will not be required to forward certificates to our office. If you have already registered for LMS, you are not required to register again.
